ABOUT
US
Founded in 1952 by the late Charles Calleja as Calleja’s Motoring School on Villambrosa Street, Hamrun, the school has deep family roots. Charles and his wife Lucy raised three children, and in 1963 their eldest, Harold, joined as an instructor.
Two years later, Douglas followed, prompting a name change to Douglas Motoring School to avoid confusion with another Calleja driving school. The youngest brother, Brian, joined in 1977, further strengthening the family business. For over 73 years, Douglas Motoring School has been dedicated to teaching generations of learners.
Today, Douglas’s son Gordon, daughter Denise, and her husband Brian proudly continue the tradition, offering a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable learning experience for every student.
