ABOUT
US
Douglas Motoring School, originally known as Calleja's Motoring School when it was established in 1952 by the late Charles Calleja, had its beginnings on Villambrosa Street in Hamrun. Charles, along with his wife Lucy, raised three children, and in 1963, their eldest son Harold joined the school as an instructor.
In 1965, Douglas, the middle brother, also entered the teaching profession, leading to a decision to change the school's name to Douglas Motoring School in order to avoid confusion with another driving school bearing the Calleja name. The addition of Brian, the youngest brother, in 1977 further strengthened the family enterprise, and the school continued to thrive. Over the course of 70 years, Douglas Motoring School has consistently excelled in educating generations of families and students.
Presently, Douglas, joined by his son Gordon, daughter Denise, and her husband Brian, remain steadfast in their commitment to uphold the family legacy. Their unwavering determination and enthusiasm drive them to provide a top-notch, enjoyable, and welcoming learning experience for both current and future learners.
